Bio

Bob is a retired art teacher from State College Area High School.  He is a member of the Bellefonte Art Museum and the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania where he teaches adult photography classes. As a freelance photographer he has contributed images for the Good Life Magazine and Centre Daily Times. He has exhibited and won awards in numerous shows. Bob is conducting business at Robert M Baumbach Art and Photography.



Artist Statement 

One my greatest pleasures is the act of taking a photograph. Knowing what the camera can do and then putting that knowledge to work is a challenge that I find rewarding, especially when the image on the computer screen speaks with the same intense feeling as was felt at the moment the shutter was released. My themes tend to be of nature and light, simplifying the scene and isolating an interesting composition. My emphasis is on the act of recording the image, doing all I can in-camera, rather than the manipulation of that image on the computer.
